Jimblebar mine site on a fly-in fly-out 8 days, 6 days off roster from Perth. Jimblebar mine is located approximately 40kms North East of Newman, West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own unsuited bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
About the Role
The Specialist Site Planner provides specialist advice and executes planning, development and communication of weekly work schedules. To achieve this objective the Specialist Site Planner adheres to maintenance planning routines defined by BHP work management processes, maintaining direct communication with operational maintenance teams.
Reporting to the Superintendent Reliability, the responsibilities include:
- Creates and plans 1SAP work orders as per defined scope that enables effective deployment of work management resources, but not limited to personnel, service providers and materials.
- Complies with the 1SAP Work Management processes to schedule work based on the prioritisation as determined by the Maintenance Execution sub-function.
- Validates adequate resource levelling and aligns work requirements to a rolling schedule.
- Facilitates the weekly Pre-Prioritisation, Prioritisation, Scheduling and the Resource Levelling Meetings to ensure alignment of all work management activities to Maintenance or other operational plans.
- Coordinates with work centre owners to ensure that work centre capacities (capacity managed) are accurately updated in 1SAP.
- Builds and communicates accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all work management activities.
- Confirms agreement by the relevant stake holders and stakeholder sign off, of the weekly work schedule for an operation/area of scope
- Drives business improvement through the measurement of BHP's performance metrics
- Identify and implement improvement actions to the maintenance work management process, ensuring a process of monitoring, control and management initiatives according to the impact on the business are maintained.
About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- A commitment to health, safety and environment.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling, while experience with maintenance planning will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of asset management principles.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with 1SAP.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Outlook, MS Teams, Word and Excel.
- While it's not mandatory, experience in the mining industry will be an advantage.
- Current Driver’s License (C Class)
