About the Role
We are actively seeking the talents of a skilled Senior Operations Technician to join our Petroleum business.
This key role is responsible for operating and maintaining the Gas Plant and associated utilities, in a safe and controlled manner with minimal environmental impact.
Primary accountabilities will include:
- Supervising on-shift activities with respect to production operations, maintenance, laboratory and reporting, with safety as the first priority.
- Operating, Maintaining, and monitoring the performance of all plant and equipment in a safe and effective manner via the control systems (PCS, SIS, etc.) to meet Sales gas nominations
- Monitoring the progress of all work covered by work permits in accordance with the Macedon Safe Systems of Work.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis of process and equipment faults and optimise the process systems within operating guidelines.
- Communicating with the Operations Superintendent to optimise day-to-day gas and condensate production activities.
About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have demonstrated experience as a Senior/Field Technician within a Petro/chemical or industrial environment. You will be incredibly results focused, action oriented and possess highly developed problem solving capabilities.
In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:
- Sound Process, mechanical or Electrical/instrumental aptitude.
- Control room experience is preferable, but not essential
- Demonstrated Hydrocarbon process experience in an oil/gas/chemical environment either on/offshore
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Task focused with excellent attention to detail.
- You will ideally possess a Forklift licence
- Sound Computer skills including Microsoft Suite and SAP
- Current WA drivers licence
- A Trade Qualification would be favourable
Location : Macedon Gas Plant
Located in the Ashburton North Industrial Estate, near Onslow, the Macedon field feeds gas via a 75km subsea pipeline to our onshore processing facilities. This role will be a Perth Point of Hire on a 2/2/2/4 Rotational Roster to Onslow.
