About the role
We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Specialist Technical Maintenance based within our Operations Services Fixed Plant Maintenance teams in Western Australia.
Reporting directly to the OS Superintendent Maintenance, in these roles you will have the opportunity to add real value to maintenance, guiding improvement activity, transforming services and supporting our people. The Technical Specialist role is designed to;
- Support the Supervisors to maximise their time in field
- Ensure core business processes are implemented effectively to drive safety and productivity
- Coordinate with other teams.
Your duties will include but not limited to:
- Participate in planning routines on behalf of the team.
- Review the scopes of work, sequencing of tasks, and labour capacities to optimize labour, timing, and efficiencies.
- Ensure Parts, resources, and equipment are available and returned as required.
- Support team with logistics for emergent / break in work including parts, resources and equipment
- Foster positive and productive working relationships and team culture
- Set and maintain clear safety standards within the leadership team
- Lead safety investigations and risk assessments
- Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities
- Timely data collation, analysis and sharing of key work management metrics.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships
- Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through using your influence
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with strong communications skills
- Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement with the demonstrated ability to identify these opportunities
- Experience or a fast learner with work management software tools (e.g. 1SAP)
- Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
- Minimum of C class manual drivers licence.
