About the Role

You will be joining one of the essential technology teams at BOQ as a Software Engineer. BOQ is currently enjoying a rapid period of growth due to large scale funding to make BOQ the digital bank of the future with a personal touch. We are currently embarking on a huge transformation which includes technology uplifts across the business in core banking, payments and on our digital platforms which involve major cloud projects in Azure.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing input to operational considerations related to in-house applications with a particular focus to digital channel and API development.
  • Development of high-level technical solution designs.
  • Analyse and translate business requirements into conceptual solutions.
  • Day-to-day support of in-house applications and integrated systems. This includes all second level support items as well as defect management and after-hours support as needed.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for BOQ on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Ensuring all support issues are turned around within appropriate time frames in line with the urgency/priority of issues.
  • Adhering to BOQ change control processes, including ensuring that all changes are appropriately tested and implemented properly.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to other team members assisting with support.

About you

Your toolkit for success:

  • 5+ years Software Development experience using backend applications in C#, .Net, .Net Core.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies Azure and associated tools.
  • Extensive experience in deploying and hosting solutions to the Azure platform.
  • Knowledge of and skills with REST, JSON, XSLT, XSD, XPATH, WSDL, XML, UML.
  • Proven experience CI/CD pipleine using Microsoft Azure DevOps.
  • .NET framework understanding including ASP.NET Core framework.
  • Proficient in Restful Web Service Design, Service Oriented Application Design.
  • Experience reading and understanding technical documentation such as API Documents, Process Flow diagrams etc.
  • Proven ability to trouble shoot, debug and resolve issues.
  • Experience using Web APIs with tools such as Postman and CURL.
  • Knowledge and skills in Azure API Management Platform, or equivalent systems such as CA, Apigee or Mulesoft (desirable)
