What you’ll be doing:
Providing an Aerodrome Control service
Providing an Approach Radar service (UK FIS in Class G)
Providing a Lower Airspace Radar Service
Providing a Special Tasks (Test) Service
Providing Met Observations and submit them in a timely fashion
Assisting in the administrative processes of the Unit as directed by the Manager of ATS, including supporting the change management process and review of procedures
Demonstrating an ability to work autonomously when required
Your skills and experiences:
You must hold a valid Class 3 medical certificate
At least one rating in either Aerodrome or Approach Surveillance
ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 6 is required
Desirable:
Hold OJTI/Assessor ratings
Hold Aeronautical Meteorological Observing Certificate

The Flight Operations team:
Working in a highly dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for handling both civilian and military aircraft movements safely and efficiently and in accordance with the Manual of Air Traffic Services Parts 1 and 2, UK (EU) Regulation 373/2017, UK (EU) Regulation 340/2015 and UK/ICAO SARPS and other applicable UK and International regulation.
The job of a Warton ATCO is a varied and complex one. We handle a wide variety of traffic and have Autonomous Radar status to support test flying of fast jet aircraft. This means there is a requirement to provide services both inside and outside of CAS.
