Job title: Lean Process Engineer

Location: Samlesbury

Salary: £45,326+

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and driving new projects and process improvements that improve the Production Systems within the manufacturing facilities.
  • Identifying and leading change within the facilities and co-ordinating cross-functional improvement plans
  • Coaching and promoting sustainable Operational Excellence

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience of collecting, analysing and reporting data to understand the current state of the business highlighting bottleneck/problematic areas
  • Experience of Continuous Improvement principles such as; Effective Line Management, Built in Quality, Process Control, Rate Manufacture (Takt & Flow), Kaizen, Standardised Work, Problem Solving, 5S - Workplace Organisation
  • Experience of using Lean Six Sigma tools
  • Experience in change management including; facilitating change, influencing others, coaching and project management

Desirable

  • Advanced data analysis skills and experience in using supporting tools e.g. Minitab, MS Excel, Tableau, SQL.
  • A recognised lean qualification such as Black Belt, Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience in working with agile methodologies

The Process team:

As part of the F-35 Continuous Improvement Team, Lean Process Engineers contribute to the creation of a lean & safe environment, systematically improving SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery & People) performance across a range of manufacturing facilities.

This role is suitable for individuals who can demonstrate proven experience in delivering continuous improvement projects, who have a strong passion for engineering and improvement, an aptitude for working methodically and with strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build networks.
