Your role at Ausgrid

ICT's purpose is to be a trusted partner, enabling business value through secure technology services and innovation.

Reporting to the Capability Leader Digital Platforms, the Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for overseeing the operational compliance of ICT infrastructure that supports all business systems and manages the lifecycle of ICT infrastructure for all ICT systems. You will collaborate with ICT Strategy, Architecture & Security in the development of infrastructure architecture, ensuring it is fit for purpose and integrates with existing hardware and software, and strategic technology roadmaps.

Success Profile

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the management of large and complex ICT infrastructure, network and database environments, as well as experience applying ITIL methodologies. You will be driven and passionate, as well as a strong collaborative team player.

We need you to demonstrate deep technical expertise in several overlapping areas within the following infrastructure competencies:

Wintel competency – significant knowledge in the following skills:

  1. Microsoft Azure (Azure Portal, Azure Roles, VM Creation, Storage and Network setups)
  2. Windows Server and clustering
  3. Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  4. Virtualisation (Citrix and VMware)
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in implementing IT security measures and protocols
  • Capable of developing and reviewing complex and detailed ICT infrastructure solutions and designs. Oversee compliance of services delivered by infrastructure managed services and Cloud partners covering performance, operational compliance and reporting in accordance with SLAs
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and business acumen, including experience in drafting high level advice, reports, submissions and briefing documents
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and provide innovative solutions for IT issues, and the ability to develop and implement appropriate risk management strategies
