ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Pring depot is seeking a freight operator to join their team. Ideally you will already be a qualified shunter with recent experience. However, we also encourage those interested in undertaking a structured learning program to qualify as a shunter to apply. Please be aware the training will consist of classroom based training with additional on the job training to ensure you become a safe operator in the yard.

• Shunting and yard duties (including cleaning)
• Examine and certify trains as ready for departure
• Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
• Provide excellent customer service

About you:

• Superior teamwork skills
• Commitment to undertake additional training as required.
• Able to work outside for long durations of time
• Ability to meet CAT 1 Rail Medical Assessment and other pre - offer checks.
• Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster
• Current unrestricted Class C drivers licence
