JOB ROLE

A key part of this transformation program was to deploy Veeva’s customer relationship management (CRM) platform to 35,000+ users in 70+ countries to improve field user productivity and effectiveness and Veeva’s Content Management solution Vault to 6,000+ users across Commercial and Medical.

We have also established a Solution Delivery Center Application Engineering team, based out of our state-of-the-art IT facility in Chennai, to drive continuous improvement and innovation on our strategic platforms.

We are now looking for a Salesforce / Veeva CRM Application Engineer to lead design and build of releases and projects on the Veeva CRM platform and related applications / integrations.

The Salesforce / Veeva CRM Application Engineer will have the following primary responsibilities:

• Serve as an internal consultant for IT and business partners across regions and business areas (Commercial, Medical)

• Identify platform exploitation and innovation opportunities across the enterprise

• Socialise new or unused Veeva/SFDC platform features with business and identify exploitation opportunities

• Actively promote new platform features and drive adoption

• Run assessments / POCs

• Generate innovation ideas and create business case for new features

• Participate in business requirement gathering and design activities with business & IT stakeholders

• Lead delivery activities through Design / Build / Test / Deploy phases for regular releases and key Veeva platform initiatives

• Provide technical oversight on configuration, customization, MyInsights UX development for Veeva releases and projects

• Provide technical expertise on integration technologies to release and project teams working on the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of Integration designs and solutions

• Generate and implement ideas to simplify / streamline our integration landscape

• Lead, mentor and coach the AZ Application Development team based in Chennai to increase throughput and quality

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Establish and maintain working relationships with the SFDC / Veeva Functional Leads, Regional and Market business leaders to lead the delivery of innovation services

• Work together with the SFDC / Veeva Platform Leads to support market innovation projects

• Demonstrate leadership abilities to our clients in partnering on market capabilities strategic roadmap initiatives

• Collaborate with peer SFDC Core Architects to build and improve best CRM practices and to aggregate common capabilities demand that drive cost-effective platform enhancements

• Continually improve the end to end market engagement strategy to shorten the cycle time between emerging market business needs and delivered platform capabilities

• Provide technical leadership within market delivery projects implemented through 3rd party suppliers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Veeva CRM Certification

• Salesforce Admin and Dev Certifications

• Degree level education in computer science or similar

• Extensive experience in a similar role with direct hands-on experience working with SFDC and/or Veeva in a technical leadership role

• In-depth knowledge of Salesforce.com and its associated technologies (HTML/XHTML, jQuery, Javascript, AJAX, SQL, SOAP, REST, JSON, Apex, SOQL, React)

• High level Experience of UX design principles for both Desktop & Mobile

• Hands on experience with React JS and JavaScript ES6

• Prior experience working in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry IT environment

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work within both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies

• Proven experience of developing and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers

• Experience of working within a quality and compliance environment and application of policies, procedures and guidelines
