About you


  • A degree qualified sustainability professional consultant with at least 5 year’s professional experience working in a high-quality design focused practice;
  • Skilled in presenting concepts and designs in a concise and compelling way, both verbally and through visual images;
  • ESD Modelling tools will play a significant part of the role’s responsibilities. Ability to use the following software packages would be highly regarded: (IES/ETOOL/Radiance/EnergyPlus/OpenFOAM/THERM/WINDOW/etc);
  • You will also have a keen interest in integrated design and a passion working collaboratively across multiple disciplines and stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Ideally, you’ll possess LCA modelling and advisory experience.
  • Multi-disciplinary PM skills would also be an advantage!


About the role


In this highly varied role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of environmental and sustainable strategies impacting buildings and precincts design and its seamless design integration. You will also undertake and lead the specification and delivery of third party rating systems and provide technical expertise in areas such as daylight analysis/building physics or LCA materials evaluation. Your role will involve:


  • Involvement in preparations of bid and tender submissions, and other client related activities;
  • Reviewing or producing engineering designs, calculations, reports, presentations and specifications using appropriate software;
  • Providing ESD services for multi-disciplinary and ESD projects including project management of ESD related activities, review of technical work and communication with design team and stakeholders;
  • Green Star, NABERS, WELL, Living Building Challenge and LEED assessments;
  • Undertaking, leading and reviewing building physics modelling including daylight, sunpath, and thermal comfort analysis for ESD projects;
  • Strategically advising clients on ESD outcomes and summary actions;
  • Providing day-today technical and PM guidance to junior staff on delivery and outcomes on projects.


The salary range for this position is $75,000-$100,000 TRP, dependent upon experience + additional benefits such as profit sharing.
