Job summary
Do you want to be part of the team helping startups to become the unicorns of the future? Are you passionate about start-ups and how technology can help them accelerate their growth? Do you like helping fast-moving companies solve technical problems? Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies? Are you passionate about building and leading technical teams?
As AWS continues to build our team, we are looking for a Startup SA Manager to work with some of the fastest growing startups in Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for building and developing a team of Startup Solution Architects. Your team will make sure that startups deploy the best, most scalable and most secure – and that they spend as little time and money as possible doing so. We are looking for technical builders who love the idea of working with early stage startups to help them as they grow. The Startup SA Manager will work closely with the sales, go-to-market strategy and business development leaders who are driving revenue, strategic support, global co-programming, and portfolio engagement to help drive the top and middle of funnel outcomes. You will also work with cross functional teams in marketing, solution architecture, and business development as well as cross-geo with your counterparts in other countries around the region and the globe.
In this role, you and your team will work directly with a diverse range of customers across the startup ecosystem to help them make the best (and sometimes the most pragmatic) technical decisions along the way. You’ll also get plenty of time to “sharpen the saw” and keep your skills fresh. We have more than 200 services across a range of different categories and it’s important that we can help startups take advantages of the right ones. You’ll also play an important role as an advocate with our product teams to make sure we are building the right products for the startups you work with, and for the customers you don’t get to work with on a 1:1 basis you’ll get the chance to share your knowledge more broadly by working on technical content and presenting at events.
