Amazon Web Services is seeking a talented, self-directed field marketing expert to lead our SMB segment across APJ.

As the APJ SMB Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the Small and Medium Business (SMB) customer audience and their needs, developing a scalable marketing strategy to address them. This audience contains local business owners as well as medium enterprises, and encompass both technical and business decision-makers. Your remit will include understanding our business strategy, understanding customer needs, building a targeting framework, defining the proposition, program planning, campaign/messaging development and coordinating execution across our APJ field marketing teams to deliver results.

You will be developing insights-led strategy, working with a wide cross-functional team across Sales, Partners and Marketing. In close cooperation with the local markets and global team, you will pilot, implement and scale campaigns across the region, always ensuring work towards shared objectives and delivering upon targets. You will deliver programs that drive awareness, service adoption, leads and contribute to pipeline generation. The right candidate will have successful experience in results-driven marketing and partnering with sales teams to drive growth, as well as an unbridled passion for technology, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and successfully drive innovative and effective marketing programs, including integrated digital marketing campaigns for awareness, lead generation, and growth.
  • Plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns, events and nurture programs to target priority the SMB segment and personas
  • Work closely with sales, technical teams, PR, stakeholders, and field evangelists to deliver successful marketing programs
  • Monitor and track program results using analytical and reporting capabilities to measure the performance of marketing campaigns.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing for a B2B technology firm
  • Experience developing and coordinating large scale field and digital campaigns
  • Basic understanding of the cloud computing landscape including basic knowledge of AWS’ products and services; understanding of the SMB audience
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement (internal and external) with the ability to influence
  • Solid understanding of lead management and sales funnel management
  • Team player, but ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Able to operate successfully in a rapidly changing, ambiguous, and undefined environment
  • Advanced excel skills and ability to interpret large volumes of data
  • Copywriting experience for email and paid media campaigns – understanding of brand tone of voice

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in field marketing within Enterprise IT marketing experience
  • Experience working in rapid growth companies and industries
  • Knowledge about digital campaign landscape, cloud computing market and technologies
• Skill to use BI tools, Salesforce, Marketo and other digital marketing tools
