Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located in Columbus, GA or Columbia, SC, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and industry requirements, and standard

concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to the insurance industry

  • Solid technical understanding of implementing services with third party platforms

  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with internal and external customers

  • Strong problem solving, negotiation, and time management skills

  • Ability to establish and develop effective relationships with internal and external partners

  • Broad knowledge of Aflac products and systems related to enrollment facilitation

  • Strong knowledge of assigned enrollment platforms and their technical capabilities for Aflac’s products

  • Strong knowledge of technical file/product requirements needed to process files

  • Strong knowledge of compliance language and evidence of insurability requirements, including technologies that support these requirements

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • 6+ years of related work experience
  • Client facing, relationship management experience

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Experience developing and implementing associate and partner scorecards and strong working knowledge of performance measurement concepts
  • Strong working knowledge of Aflac Group product portfolio, systems, operational process and industry practices

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as Aflac’s internal and external point of contact for case- level third party electronic enrollment vendor partnerships; responsible for ensuring successful case level electronic enrollment implementation including but not limited to providing feedback and explanation of product and file specifications for case setup, compliance and site testing, file testing, and assigned file processing barriers

  • Provides central coordination of ongoing case level electronic enrollment implementation services and partners with internal business units to ensure that implementation issues and escalations are avoided or resolved promptly and prevents re-occurrence; increases enrollment effectiveness, and builds credibility both internally and externally through continued, consistent excellence in the practice and handling of enrollment technology

  • Addresses and resolves any case specific enrollment platform questions or issues in a consistent and timely fashion; ensures that quality control measures are in place and maintained to address evolving issues; ensures that all resolutions have a positive downstream impact

  • Participates in integration calls between vendors and Aflac to ensure thorough communication of the enrollment requirements and processes

  • Acts as a liaison, coordinating case specific solution activities within the partner service team, various internal departments and external clients, brokers, or vendors to ensure effective and efficient electronic enrollment; makes independent decisions regarding the best solution to conserve business resources, makes recommendations for potential business solutions, and participates in implementations of improvements and revisions to business processes and requirements

  • Oversees coordination of implementation of technology with internal and external customers to facilitate data exchange; establishes, consults, and implements appropriate technology for initial case set-up and subsequent changes

  • Maintains a working knowledge of Aflac products and associated compliance requirements, enrollment and benefit administration technology requirements, and industry best practices; maintains a working knowledge of assigned platforms technical capabilities as it relates to Aflac’s requirements; updates changes to vendor capability repository as needed

  • Actively participates in partner strategy and operational review sessions; participates in ongoing stewardship

  • Travels to assigned technology partners as determined by the client service and partner growth strategy and as needed to ensure the delivery of the distinctive, superior, responsive, and consistent service experience (travel is generally less than 25%)

  • Performs other duties as required

Total Rewards

The salary range for this job is $85,000 to $115,000. This range is specific to the job and salary offers consider a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and peer compensation. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting.

At Aflac, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role to allow for future and continued salary growth, and compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate.
