The Opportunity
Working collaboratively with campaign, channel owners and agencies, the Channel Planner will be responsible for developing holistic and effective channel plans for campaigns and programmes across bought and owned media for Woolworths Group.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creating the single source of truth Channel plans for campaigns and programmes across paid, owned and earned media
- Ongoing assessment of channel outcomes and performance in order to drive continual improvement
- Feed into comms briefs - adding the initial Channel Planning perspective or outcomes needed
- Management and feedback to all necessary stakeholders in order to reach the right outputs
- Ensure a clear role of placement is documented and creative is fit for channel.
- Accountable for reactive/tactical planning.
- Accountability for paid media budgets and understanding of owned media value
- Ongoing development of the Channel Planning specialist
About you:
We are looking for someone with proven experience in media, with a deep understanding of the media landscape and channel planning principles. You will be a creative thinker with a flair delivering outstanding campaigns. Naturally, you will be a phenomenal communicator coupled with an ability to build and foster positive working relationships with a large network of stakeholders. In addition, you will also effortlessly work cross functionally within Woolworths Group and with external agency partners, representing the team and its expertise effectively.
In addition you will also have:
- Experience as Channel Planner, Media Planner, Media Trader or Media Buyer (or similar)
- Sound financial acumen - for the effective management of media budgets and an understanding of the finance process - billing, reconciling and forecasting
- An understanding of the business and Brand & Reputation strategies, goals and KPIs
- An understanding of sales performance, channel performance and brand performance
