Join our wireless Telecommunications project team in WA, Perth or Adelaide, SA as a Project Engineer
About the Role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the primary purpose of the Project Engineer is to work with various teams (e.g. Design, SAED, Construction) to finalise the design and manage the implementation of the project scope of works. This includes new and upgrade works. This role is open to candidates located in WA, Perth or SA, Adelaide.
This role is responsible for:
- Coordinating wireless work orders to achieve project targets
- Preparing and submitting quotes and following through with variations to clients
- Providing current updates of Ventia's work management system to stakeholders
- Issuing tickets of work with regular daily follow up with subcontractors, field managers and area supervisors to obtain the status of each task and project
- Designing validation and BOMBOQ validation
- Validating design and survey plans to ensure construction viability and to ensure accurate construction and materials
- Promptly responding to escalated issues and ensure prompt rectification
- Coordinating field issues, redesigning and surveying, and adjusted material requirements
- Preparing program status reports and contractor schedules with daily status updates to the project manager, area supervisor and project leads
- Facilitating delivery of projects within contractual KPIs
- Minimise the occurrence of construction and design related issues
- Facilitate the prompt resolution of design and construction related issues
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar
- At least 3 years' experience in the telecommunications construction industry as a project engineer / project coordinator
- Highly proficient in the usage of MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Ability to use SAP is highly regarded
- Ability to comfortably operate in a time critical project environment and have an analytical approach to problem solving
- Ability to interpret engineering and survey drawings
- Ability to travel for training and development
- Available for interstate travel as and when required to meet operational requirements
