Base Location: Dublin – this is a hybrid role working a minimum two days a week from the office at the advertised location.
Salary: €40,800 - €61,200 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

SSE Airtricity are seeking to appoint a User Acceptance Tester (UAT) who will work within the Business Change team and report to the UAT Manager. As User Acceptance Tester you will perform UAT services, on behalf of the Customer Change team and wider organisation. Working in a friendly collaborative environment, you will be responsible for ensuring that software applications meet business requirements and are user-friendly. This role involves creating and executing test plans, identifying defects, working closely with IT Scrum teams to deliver test support before software changes are released to end-users and into the Production system. Whilst the primary body of work may require you to work with a specific area of the Business, on occasion you may be required to multitask across several projects. In this role you will:
- Create and document detailed UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and user stories. Run UAT test cases and report results.
- Define entry and exit criteria, document, and track defects and issues using a defect management tool and work with developers and business analysts to fix identified issues.
- Examine and assess business requirements and technical specifications to ensure they are testable. Take part in requirement review workshops and provide feedback from a testing perspective.
- Report test progress, test results, and any issues to stakeholders - you will conduct UAT review sessions with business users and collect feedback working to ensure testing is done for each iteration following an agile approach and sprint management.
- Keep comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within UAT processes and implement best practices. Keeping up with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry trends.
