About the Role
Base Location: Perth
Salary: £26,609 - £30,472 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available
Our AskHR Team provides a vital service in supporting managers and employees with HR related queries. For the past three years this has primarily been via email however, we are now launching a line manager support service to provide telephone based guidance on queries relating to a wide variety of complex HR topics to allow them to manage and develop their teams effectively.
Your role as HR Advisor will be to coach and guide managers around applying the informal and formal stages of policies and procedures such as sickness absence, conduct and capability as well as supporting on wider HR policies and processes in relation to topics such as pay reviews, benefits, maternity and flexible working. We work closely with the wider HR Team including Case Management, Employee Relations and Third-party suppliers.
We encourage development within the team and would expect you to be involved in wider projects as well as in developing and running line manager workshops. We have a continuous improvement focus and you’ll be encouraged to share your ideas to ensure that we work as effectively as possible and continue to improve our HR systems and processes.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Previous experience of providing operational HR support to line managers.
- Ideally CIPD qualified along with a good general knowledge of employment legislation.
- Confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- A proactive, problem-solving approach.
- The ability to balance formal policy and process with a commercial, pragmatic approach.
