About the Role
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.
Salary: £53,100 - 79,700 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Lead Asset Integrity Engineer will provide leadership in the implementation of best practice asset management to the SSE Renewables’ operational offshore wind portfolio teams; ensuring that structural assets are monitored and managed effectively.
- Lead on portfolio-wide management of monitoring, inspection and asset intervention, including management responsibility for scope definition, risk management, budget preparation.
- Manage relevant third-party contractors, steering works in accordance with site objectives. Develop strategic supply chain, reducing reliance in key areas.
- Deliver ongoing asset health assessments, characterising asset health against standardised parameters monitoring know risk factors and outputs from FMECAs, including the development of corrosion assessments and application of risk-based inspection schemes. Lead the assessment and enablement of WTG performance enhancements and asset life extension to maximise value across asset life in line with business case requirements.
- Contribute to the development of digital twins for operational assets, communicating asset health to a range of stakeholders.
- Provide operational insights into the design delivery process, ensuring known risk factors are communicated and considered as part of the development of new projects.
What do I need?
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background with analytical, engineering, budgeting and project management skills. A good understanding of maintenance requirements for large plant infrastructure and the importance of a planned and coordinated maintenance strategy would be advantageous.
Previous experience within an offshore or renewables generation industry would be an advantage, although not essential. You will be qualified to Degree (or equivalent) level in a relevant engineering discipline and be working towards or have already achieved Chartered status. As the position requires knowledge and experience gained within industry, consideration will be given to suitably experienced individuals.
You will have the opportunity to develop your understanding of offshore wind operations and maintenance and contribute throughout the project lifecycle.
