We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our team!
Network Construction, Wessex region is part of the Capital Delivery Team in the Southern License area of SSEN.
The main purpose of this role is to project manage and deliver multiple wide-ranging capital investment projects.
Our work covers the replacement, maintenance and upgrading of assets on our Electrical Power infrastructure which supplies our customers across Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire.
Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Actively promoting a positive safety culture on your projects, ensuring all company and operational safety rules and procedures are observed by staff and contractors ensuring all relative safety legislation are adhered to. In particular, to ensure that safety from the power system to staff and public is maintained through full compliance with relevant procedures, work instructions and regulations.
- Manage the delivery of multiple projects in a safe and efficient manner meeting allocated scopes, quality standards, timescales, and budgets.
- Organise and program works for a team of linespersons to enable them to complete works safely and efficiently.
- Order Materials for the program of works in advance to avoid hold ups on the job and ensure quality of work is maintained to specification and workmanship at the highest level.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are in good order and where required, tested regularly to comply with policy and legislation.
You'll be require to respond as an individual and a team when called upon to assist with supply emergencies.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- SSEN operational authorisations CAT 1,2,4,5,7 and 14 (preferred).
- Operational experience on SSEN Overhead lines.
- Knowledge of distribution overhead systems.
- Be a good organiser and motivator of both yourself and your team.
Travel is required and as a result we can only accept applications from candidates that hold a current driving licence.
