About the Role

Base Location: Perth, Glasgow, Aberdeen, or Inverness

Salary: £29,200 - £43,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

Working closely with the Communities team and wider Transmission business, the Community Relationship Officer is responsible for:

- Recording, prioritising and responding to email correspondence from external stakeholders such as members of the public and community groups, ensuring that responses are prioritised and triaged to the relevant team as required.

- Working closely with the complaints co-ordinator to ensure that all complaints which have originated from members of the community are logged, investigated and responded to within the required timescales, escalating as required and in line with company processes and SLAs.

- Following public consultations, the role holder will be responsible for logging all feedback efficiently and accurately so that it can be analysed and reported on in a timely manner.

- Ensuring that our systems are kept up to date, including receiving and logging all stakeholder engagement activities such as written correspondence, emails, calls, events, and new contacts for the Communities Team. Ensure that information stored on Tractivity is accurate, current and is not duplicated. Updating the SSEN Transmission website with approved content.

- Support with improving our processes and ways of working.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- Understanding of the energy sector and associated infrastructure, with a focus on community engagement.

- Knowledge of requirements of a regulated business, and upcoming changes in regulatory or licensing requirements.

- Experience with customer or stakeholder management systems.

- Knowledge and application of AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standards.

- Confident and competent in using Microsoft products e.g. Word, Teams and Excel.

- Excellent problem solving skills.
