In the role of Managing Director of ElectriX you will guide the EV ecosystem business unit within LVGIG, accountable for aspects from strategy, execution and ongoing performance.
You’ll drive all engagement with the EV Board, ensuring they’re informed of strategy, delivery and ongoing performance. You’ll keep us aligned to the wider LVGIG strategy. As a subject matter expert in the electric vehicle space, you’ll use your deep understanding of every part of the electric car value chain, including energy generation, charging and car manufacture. Ahead of market trends, you’ll be aware of the disruption that may come from both in and out of the EV market.

The MD has responsibility and accountability of the division’s budget, implementing comprehensive business plans, and streamlining operational processes to be cost-effective, whilst planning market development activity. You’ll delegate responsibilities, but you’ll supervise; providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.

Through strategic advice and detailed reporting, you’ll keep the board and Chair up to date with an accurate view of the ElectriX business’ performance, the wider market place and the division’s plans.

This is an opportunity to take the reins of a new business, and build on the momentum the team have already started, and drive our EV propositions further and to greater successes.

About you

With your background in the Electric Vehicle Market and all parts of the value chain, you’ll be well placed to steer our EV business at an exciting time of development and growth. Your application will demonstrate your experience of managing high growth teams in start ups, within the car finance industry, and how you’ve provided visionary leadership to take an early business to success and scale.

You’re a highly numerate candidate who can interpret financial data, interpret trends and understand business drivers. You’re a clear and confident communicator who can adapt your written and verbal style to translate business plans, results and market information into clear reports to colleagues at all levels of seniority, external third parties, and C=Suite board members.

Holding a post graduate level qualification, perhaps MBA or similar, and a proven self-starter who can proactively work off your own initiative, you’re a good leader of people: sharing your vision and can delegate tasks, but also hands-on and leading from example when necessary. You create an engaged, collaborative team, who together will make ElectriX the leading electric car services operator in the UK.
