Join the team:

The Platform Services team are looking for a passionate Iteration Manager to join their team. The team’s main customers are internal developers and application teams and they develop and manage multiple platforms such as Cloud (AWS), API Management (Kong), Event Driven (Confluent) and Developer Tools. The team also provide services which simplify and enhance the software development and operational process by providing the common services that the development team use, removing the need for each team to develop their own solutions. The team empowers developers to be autonomous through our self-service platforms.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and other business stakeholders to prioritise technology and business initiatives.
  • Drive delivery to ensure risks are addressed or escalated in a timely manner.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, create workstream reports, and promote transparency.
  • Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams and manage dependencies between dedicated workstreams.
  • Lead, facilitate, and manage the release planning and iterations.
  • Identify process improvements and measure the impact of team velocity.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies
  • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
  • Organising and prioritising work items in line with product roadmap.

To be successful in this team you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience working in structured Agile teams as an Iteration Manager or Scrum Master for at least eight years, that embodies the Agile Scrum values of focus, courage, openness, commitment, and respect.
  • The ability to facilitate a regular scrum-based schedule across multiple teams.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence.
  • Work with embedded product owners, offshore UX/UI, Business Analysts, Developers, QA (Automation & Manual).
  • Knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate a given problem to all levels across the business.
  • Significant experience working in a large organisation, preferably retail.
  • Strong attention to detail and a rigorous focus on delivering quality output.
