Regional Communications and Stakeholder Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Regional Communications and Stakeholder Manager to join our communications team at Great British Nuclear. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Government Affairs, this role is responsible for managing community and stakeholder communications at the two GBN owned sites, Wylfa Sur Mons on Anglesey and Oldbury in South Gloucestershire. The postholder will work closely with the Development Company teams as they mature and work proactively across five key workstreams owned by the GBN Communications team. This includes Internal Communication, Brand, Stakeholder, Media and Digital.
The role is responsible for defining and delivering the strategic communications and stakeholder engagement plan for the GBN sites and will collaborate with the Head of Communications and Stakeholder Engagement to ensure political engagement is supported within the local communities.
Day to day duties:
- Devise and deliver community and stakeholder engagement plan
- Support and contribute to GBN digital presence for site communities
- Keep local communities up to date on latest information about site development
- Build consistent and trusted relationships in the local community
- Support development of education programme in communities
- Assist in managing agency support for design aspects of collateral and DCO engagement
- Devise and deliver events and public-facing engagement
- Work closely with DevCo team and Communications team colleagues.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a communications, community engagement or stakeholder management role.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Proficiency in digital media
- Ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders
- Public engagement and speaking experience
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in the energy or nuclear sector.
- Familiarity with communication tools and platforms.
Qualifications
- Degree in relevant subject, journalism, creative content, English.
