What we do:
As wholly owned subsidiary of BNY Mellon, Pershing EMEA is the line of business which is delivering three designated business proposition pillars across the region, being;
- Trading: agency brokerage and execution services
- Clearing: broker dealer institutional middle and back-office solutions.
- Wealth & Adviser Solutions: Trading, custody, settlement and investors books and records services to wealth managers, family offices, financial advisers and retail investment platforms.
ROLE PROFILE
In the Pershing Client Group, our rapid growth and ambitious plans have resulted in a requirement for an additional Relationship Manager to join the team and support the growing client base. The Relationship Manager will have primary responsibility for the overall satisfaction of clients, managing key stakeholders within the firms, maintaining high service standards and delivering key objectives for the clients, whilst maximising revenue opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a portfolio of existing clients or prospects, focusing on client satisfaction, relationship building and be responsible for business growth that is compliant, of acceptable risk and profitable
- Operate a consultative approach with clients and prospects, understanding their strategic vision and current solutions, to advise leadership on the best way to achieve their short and long-term strategic goals
- Be the main conduit between BNY Mellon Pershing and the clients by building internal relationships within the relevant departments to enable satisfactory responses and turnaround times
- Oversee KPIs and their delivery, ensuring BNY Mellon Pershing are meeting the high service standards expected by our clients in addition to the contractually agreed service standards
- Understand client needs and business change requirements to be able to deliver additional services to clients
- Communicate regulatory and policy changes to clients, along with their impacts
- Accountable for providing regular reporting to internal stakeholders on any risks to the business, revenue opportunities and/or service issues
- Develop a negotiation strategy to align client/prospect needs to firm offerings to maximise revenue opportunities
- Perform in-depth industry research and maintain an understanding of the market environment, including short- and long-term trends, competitor offerings, regulatory developments etc. in order to achieve account growth
- Generate leads from within existing client accounts

The successful candidate will:
- Have extensive experience in managing high profile clients to C-Suite level with positive client outcomes
- An understanding of Financial Services, the regulations impacting the industry and previous experience of working with Wealth Management clients
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills, able to articulate and present solutions to clients when required
- Be a strategic thinker and problem solver, able to work in a consultative manner with clients to deliver beyond expectations
- Be a team player, supporting our existing inclusive culture and contributing to the achievement of the team objectives
- Be commercial and have experience of delivering revenue targets
- Have experience of managing competing priorities across clients
Experience & Qualifications:
- Excellent written/verbal communication and effective listening skills
- Confident and decisive; with strong interpersonal and planning skills
- Must possess strong organisation and time management skills and an ability to manage a broad range of activities simultaneously.
- Must be able to make independent fact-based decisions, and effectively hold project participants accountable whilst being a team player
