As a Combat Systems Engineer, you will be based at the Portsdown Technology Park (MISC) involved with Combat Systems integration activities and providing independent engineering Combat/Mission Systems advice for Naval Combat Systems Integration Support Services (NCSISS) integration and Trials activities.

Your main responsibilities as a Combat Systems Engineer will involve:
Co-ordinating and directing the NCSISS Trials and Integration activities as part of the larger NCSISS team providing Command System specialist knowledge
Conducting shore and sea based trials as directed by the NCSISS management team, including: Linking integration and acceptance trials and production of formal reports
Conducting analysis in support of trials recordings and provide suitable report with narrative to substantiate findings
Identifying suitable analysis training needs as new systems are developed
Providing succinct and accurate and timely reports to support integration and trials activity as requested by the Customer
Your skills and qualifications:
Technical experience of Combat systems, host equipment’s and interfaces
Knowledge of System Integration in Surface Ships
Experience of Combat System trials activities and post trials analysis
Working Knowledge of the Naval Combat Systems (QEC/T45/T23) would be advantageous
