Job title: Engineering Manager – Supply Chain Technical Support

Location: Flexible, ideally Warton, Samlesbury or Coningsby but open to applications from a wider geography – hybrid working.

Salary:£58,000 - £64,000 dependent on skills and experience

Grade: GG12

An opportunity has arisen within the Fast Jet Support organisation for an Engineering Manager in the Supply Chain Technical Support (SCTS) Team within the Design Authority Services (DAS) Team.

This is an opportunity to manage the SCTS Team delivery across Typhoon, Tornado and Hawk platforms for all Customers, enabling the Supply Chain teams to deliver the correct parts to the operators.

This role offers a diverse and fast paced opportunity with the possibility for further development.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing stakeholder demands from both within and external to Fast Jet Support to meet operational needs to cost, quality and schedule.

Supporting and managing the team of 14 Engineers.

Enabling the Supply Chain teams to deliver the correct parts to the operators

Working with engineering teams to define engineering data and populate the data in supply chain toolsets.

Working with stakeholders to ensure plans are in place to reduce supply chain queries.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

Knowledge of Supply Chain operations and order management processes

Relevant STEM degree, e.g. Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering

Desirable:

  • Knowledge and experience of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), primarily Initial Provisioning (IP) and Technical Information
  • Knowledge and experience of safety and quality standards applied to in-service support
  • Knowledge and experience of data and data systems, both within Engineering and within Supply Chain
  • Leadership qualities with ability to communicate across various organisational levels, establishing dependable relationships with key Stakeholders.
