Job title: Associate Manual Handler

Location: Warton/Samlesbury – this role includes shift working pattern

Salary: £31,855+

What you’ll be doing:

  • Consolidating kits for distribution within a specific environment

  • Scheduling deliveries within a facility to their point of use (i.e., assemblies, sub-assemblies, detail parts, tools, and ancillaries)

  • Packaging of units prior to shipping

  • Scheduling the removal of finished goods and waste from the Production facilities

  • The loading and unloading of Lorries and/or major jigs

  • Undertaking safe manual handling as required, use of manual handling equipment (MHE) including Forklift Truck and crane and slinging operations

Your skills and experiences:

Essentials:

  • Experience working with in a Manufacturing environment where the movement of large loads is common.

  • Lifting & slinging and experience using manual handling equipment.

  • An ability to be able to follow instructions

  • Manual dexterity skills

  • Understanding of and compliance with Foreign Object Debris

  • Experience and of Health and Safety rules and regulations

Desirables:

  • Forklift truck licence

The Manual Handler team:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Associate Manual Handlers to work on our Military platforms, which include F35, Typhoon and Future Combat Air Systems at BAE Systems Air Sector Warton / Samlesbury sites. You will be required to interface with the support areas including but not limited to Quality, Logistics, and SHE.
