Job title: Welder
Location: Barrow-in-Furness (Shift work when available)
Salary: £33,465
What you’ll be doing:
- Welding Submarine Components to the highest standards, Striving for a 'Right First Time' Performance in quality
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with the Weld Procedure
- Taking yourself and others into consideration before staring a job
- Complying with all health and safety and all other relevant regulations and guidelines and working safely at all times
- Follow the relevant instructions and other specifications required
- Using the appropriate tools and equipment to do the job safety and effectively and provide support for associated activates
- Must be able to check the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed and meet the required specification
Your skills and experiences:
- Must be able to complete x3 welding tests to 100% X-Ray standard and these will be multi run and in multi positional (Horizontal/Overhead/Vertical/Down hand and Incline)
- CSWIP Welding qualifications
- Time served accredited Apprenticeship in Welding (Preferably Ship Build)
- NVQ Level 3 (Fabrication & Welding)
