Job Title: Project Manager

Location: Hillend with hybrid options available

Salary: Up to £78,500 based on skills and experience

Referral Scheme Bonus: £500

Grade: GG13

What you’ll be doing:

  • Accountable for the budget, performance and results of the team.

  • Ensures essential polices are followed based on own knowledge of Project Management. May formulate processes and procedures within own area of responsibility.

  • Adapts own project plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

  • Accountable as a member of the Project Management team for development and implementation of appropriately tailored practices.

  • Provides leadership to own medium-sized team.

  • Responsible for training members of the team, monitoring their quality of work

Your skills and experiences:

  • University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry

  • PM Qualification or equivalent experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices)

  • Basic knowledge of other functions such as Commercial & Finance

  • Able to develop innovative solutions to complex issues in a wider Business context

The team:

You will lead several teams delivering advanced Simulation & Training and Deployed Network Solutions-domain projects. These include BAE Systems’ VoRTEX (Virtual Reality Training Executive) virtual maintenance trainers, armoured vehicle crew trainers and projects providing support as Design Authority to customer-developed systems, all being delivered from the Hillend site.

You will contribute to, and support, the business goals of the wider Deployed Solutions portfolio across BAE Systems’ Digital Intelligence sites.
