What you’ll do

As Medical Ethics Leader you will provide strategic leadership, quality assurance and proactive management for M&SA and AstraZeneca UK Medical Ethics portfolio, including optimisation of all internal processes, document curation, and policy/code related guidance by:

  • Partnering with RIA and CVRM cross function teams with respect to code compliance to enable advances in clinical practice
  • Driving simplification, agility and high quality across end-to-end medical compliance processes
  • Leading and co-ordinate the cross functional AZUK Governance team (Ethics Xceed)
  • Establishing strong relationships with ABPI Networks/other external networks to help evolve the Code.

Essential skills and experience

  • Deep understanding of the UK pharma industry and the theory and practice of the ABPI Code of Practice
  • Proven track record of people and performance management
  • Good track record in terms of integrity and personal reputation
  • Pragmatic and proactive approach to addressing projects or challenges
  • Expertise in at least one of the disease/therapy areas of AstraZeneca
  • Highly developed communication skills linked to strong interpersonal skills
  • Stakeholder management and project management experience

Desirable

  • Change Management experience
  • Budget management experience
