About the opportunity

We are searching for an experienced frontline leader in the position of Superintendent to compliment and complete the Residue operations team. This is a key role in our business contributing and working towards the strategic direction for the Residue facility, with an unwavering focus on operational excellence. The working roster is Monday through Friday day shift, based at our Kwinana Refinery.

One of the challenges, but also the rewards of the role is the variety and scope of work as part of the core responsibilities:

  • Optimise our contribution to key objectives by coordinating and supervising daily functions of the Residue Operation within policies, procedures, professional standards, and the overall Residue Business Plan,

  • Develop, maintain and ensure all requirements for Residue storage, environmental controls, water supply, and Refinery process & technical requirements are always met,

  • Be accountable for staffing and resourcing, equipment management and maintenance, coordinator of contract resources, planning, forecasting and budgeting,

  • Identify, mentor, coach and develop talent to ensure we have ready and capable succession for key roles at Residue, and

  • Lead and maintain a positive safety culture to achieve zero injuries and sustained employee engagement.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:

  • Passion for leadership of diverse, multifaceted and multiskilled teams,

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or relevant trade qualifications will be well regarded,

  • A strong understanding of Environmental Health & Safety leadership, management, maintenance and repair strategies, and project planning,

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to lead and engage with our people in efforts of change management!
