The Role
As a Motor Vehicle Loss Assessor in our General Insurance Claims division, you will be responsible for accurately assessing vehicles and authorising repairs in keeping with the correct repair methodology and best practice principles. Whilst doing this, you will remain compliant with procedures, standards and values, as well as driving a positive customer experience and claim outcome. You will be working to minimise downtime of vehicles and machinery, identifying development needs in the Zurich assessing network, and tailoring your approach to suit regional repair management issues and needs.
Your Experience
You will have obtained relevant trade qualifications, completed a Cert 4 in Vehicle Loss Assessing, and have extensive experience in repair shop operations and motor assessing. You will also have sound knowledge of motor vehicle claims/repair management strategy and be computer literate.
Experience aside, you are a strong communicator, relationship builder and influencer, with good self-awareness and emotional intelligence. You will quickly realise the benefit of these attributes as you seek to establish and nurture critical relationships internally at Zurich and in the broader insurance assessing community. You will also be comfortable working on the road as you travel to conduct on-location assessments.
