About the role
You will be maintaining the safety, service & quality of the natural gas network in the Hunter/Central Coast region.
The role is on our Zinfra Gas Enterprise Agreement NSW 2021 and has an attractive starting base hourly rate of $42.76 for the first 3 months whilst you are in training. After 3 months you will move to $43.90 per hour. A tool of trade vehicle is provided and you will have the opportunity to increase your salary with overtime. We are a large organisation with lots of career development opportunities available.
Key responsibilities include
- Complete programmed and corrective maintenance of Jemena client's gas facilities and networks ensuring there are no gas outages
- Be pro-active in improving quality standards
- Report all system and component failures
- Carry out risk assessments on all work
- Assist with emergency call outs
About you
- Plumbing background (Plumbing Licence preferred)
- Experience working around underground utilities, ideally gas
- Current Driver's Licence
- White card
- Experience using tools and equipment
- Able to work reasonable overtime and participate in an emergency call-out roster
