The opportunity
An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a Transformation Lead internally known as an Inclusion Enablement Lead to join the Inclusion team. Working closely with the General Manager of Inclusion and our People Leadership team, this newly created role will be pivotal in realising our Inclusion Strategy. Strategically aligned with our people commitments in the Sustainability Plan 2025, specifically focusing on becoming a truly inclusive workplace.

The role
As the Inclusion Enablement Lead, you will drive our inclusion strategic priorities within the agile operating model of the People team tribe. You will lead the delivery of critical inclusion programs of work aligned to the wellbeing and belonging team, driving sustainable change and DEI transformation through collaborative efforts across functions. In this hands-on role, your leadership will extend horizontally, creating value for our team and customers throughout the group.

About you
You have proven experience providing thought leadership and critical capability in leading strategic delivery within a complex environment. You have influential engagement skills and can effectively deliver through others to drive outcomes.

You may have a specialist HR or transformation background with demonstrated experience driving transformational change in team wellbeing and belonging initiatives or workplace or employee relations. Ideally, you will have experience within or working closely with a dedicated Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) function.

You’ll also have:

  • Demonstrable leadership experience in a relevant industry with a proven track record of leading and delivering transformational change
  • Strong understanding of key DEI issues and retail operating contexts
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into DEI strategic priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to build, establish and maintain strong mutually beneficial relationships/partnerships
  • Proven ability to influence, collaborate and partner deeply across functions and at all levels
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to navigate complexity and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience in a large, matrixed organisation, preferably in an Agile environment desirable
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant advanced degree desirable


Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Overall ownership of the inclusion roadmap aligned with the wellbeing and belonging team
  • Partner with people leaders/directors to define and align business priorities and measurable outcomes
  • Collaborate with the Inclusion Pillar Leads (LGBTQ+, First Nations, Gender Equity, Cultural Inclusion, Disability) to help shape strategic solutions and inform optimal delivery methods.
  • Develop and define quarterly inclusion objectives and key results to support the strategic roadmaps.
  • Providing timely and accurate reporting against measures of success to tribe, sustainability team and executive committee sponsors
  • Leverage the capability of the subject matter experts to provide guidance and expertise on critical focus areas. Manage delivery risks and dependencies through tribe cadence and ensure visibility of progress. Provide thought leadership and insights to help solve business problems and contribute to reports, presentation packs and business communications where required.
