Purpose of this role

The purpose of this role is to proactively manage a blended and complex portfolio of public liability customer claims to effective and sustainable outcomes.

About this role

Reporting to the Group Claims Manager, you will be reponsible for:

  • Managing an ongoing portfolio of claims with a focus on delivering proactive and sustainable outcomes
  • Adopt a service-oriented approach that is focused on early intervention and the interests of all stakeholders
  • Analysis of liability, quantum, and indemnity issues associated with a blended portfolio of public liability claims
  • Continuous monitoring of national legal panel's performance and their adherence to service level agreements
  • Driving the duration of claims through early intervention and implementation of proactive claims management strategies
  • Resolution of claims within the approved delegation of authority in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Reviewing of contractual documents and consideration of recovery or contribution from third parties
  • Constructive and proactive in sharing own expertise and feedback to team and peers to enable them to develop.
  • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues that may arise in the business as a result of gaps in risk awareness or due process.
  • Presenting complex ideas in clear and concise ways

About You:

You will have previous public liability claims expereince with the ability to apply all aspects of the Public Liability Claims Management model in delivering commercial and practical outcomes. You will also have:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and can build rapport and confidence with our customers to enable their recovery
  • At least 5 years public liability claims management experience
  • The ability to strategically apply legislation
  • Excellent time management and work organisation skills
  • Knowledge of SAP and Google suite is a plus but not mandatory
