The Role
The purpose of this role is to provide Global Mobility advice which will assist in delivering high quality services to the Woolworths Group. Working as part of the Mobility team (and wider People and Culture team both domestically and internationally), the Global Mobility Advisor will be instrumental in developing, guiding and implementing Mobility policy and supporting procedures with the support of the Mobility Manager. They are required to provide service excellence enabled by effective and efficient people processes and technology and to ensure compliance and consistency across Australia and to contribute to the development of the Mobility function as a whole.
The Global Mobility Advisor will act as a fully integrated partner to the wider business, team members and general People and Culture team and is responsible for the successful delivery of the businesses Mobility activities including immigration support, domestic and international relocations. You will transfer knowledge quickly and efficiently on a global and local basis, and embody the values of the business.
The Global Mobility Advisor - Performance & Reward will be responsible for:
- Advise on and oversee the coordination of all mobility related services
- Deliver the day-to-day operational requirements for all domestic and international secondments, transfers and mobility related hires including but not limited to:
- Personalised and tailored assignment support to provide a smooth transition for the team member and their family from pre-departure /arrival planning, on-assignment support to repatriation (or permanent residency)
- Support and provide advice to the business relating to Australian inbound immigration in conjunction with external vendors
- Ensuring two way communication is maintained with team members and relevant stakeholders throughout the assignment lifecycle
- Ensuring employee repatriation is effectively managed (where applicable)
- Ensuring invoices are paid and costs allocated appropriately
- Ensuring that policies are fairly applied to ensure transparency and equitable treatment for all team members
- Effective coordination of third party service providers i.e. tax, immigration, destination services, relocation, insurance etc;
- Strategic domestic relocation solutions, global workforce issues, health and safety options and intercultural skills;
- Content and structure of relocation conditions, mobility policies and assignment contracts;
- Keep abreast of all domestic and international relocation policies;
- Provide status reports and alert Mobility Manager of any alerts for medical or security issues where team members may be located;
- In conjunction with Mobility Manager set and strive to achieve Mobility KPIs which align to our People Services objectives and target Service Levels;
- Ensure appropriate records, files and databases are maintained (and statutory obligations are being met);
- Drive data integrity of mobility information in the appropriate systems;
- Provide solutions for mobility queries;
- Utilise multiple People systems including Success Factors and Salesforce to optimise the mobility lifecycle and processes;
- Provide regular reports on Mobility activities to the Mobility Manager, and the business, as required;
- Assist in the checking and auditing of work entitlements across the group
What are are looking for:
- A minimum of one to two years of global mobility experience
- Experience of Australian immigration for large companies
- Ability to support our team members relocating
- Sound knowledge of the assignment lifecycle and the inherent issues is essential
- Proven ability to research and gain knowledge quickly
- Proven ability to negotiate and problem solve
- Exposure to the development and improvement of systems and processes with an Organisational Effectiveness focus
- Exposure to current employment, tax and immigration related laws
- Proven ability to quickly gain knowledge of large organisation’s policies and procedures.
