Overview
We are looking to expand our dynamic program team of experienced Strategy & Transformation Consultants whose focus is to support the operational Business Units of the Woolworths Group to deliver their 2025 strategic objectives.
We are looking for those with prior or current consulting experience (Consultant to Director levels) wishing for a new consulting challenge within a successful corporate leader that competitively rewards individuals with honed consulting skills, utilises creativity and leverages operational excellence skills to drive successful business outcomes.
We are keen to develop a diverse team of individuals who see flexibility as a given and not a bonus and wish to hear from both full timers and those who may require part time or flexible working options to re-enter and stay within the workforce.
About Us
We are an enterprise-wide, Board sponsored program team built to drive value and operational optimisation throughout the Business Units through a consulting style service that leverages a strong program structure and provides both leading practice insights / thought leadership and delivery excellence to our business partners.
Our mandate is to partner with each of our businesses across the group portfolio to identify and develop high quality cost optimisation plans and projects, within the Goods & Services Not for Resale space. We partner with each Business Unit to target and prioritise the areas that represent the most significant improvement in their cost of doing business and therefore directly contribute to the bottom line of the company.
About the Role

Lead individual or a portfolio of cost optimisation and transformation projects across our business.

Be challenged in a key role where you will make a visible impact on the success of the business and manage senior stakeholder relationships.

Initial 6-months Fixed Term Contract with competitive rates and an ability to extend or go permanent.

Flexible options including part time and home working for all levels across Australia and New Zealand.
Each role will utilise the ability to think strategically and innovatively and will take advantage of strong stakeholder management skills as key relationships with senior business leaders are developed. Consultant and Manager roles will own the full development and deployment of large scale transformation initiatives across the organisation, driving them through to execution. Senior Manager / Director levels will manage a team and the successful delivery of a portfolio of initiatives.
Each role is critical to the success of the current Strategic Cost Reduction Program. The Candidate will play a consultative role to the Business Units and will support and empower them through their journey from identification to delivery of transformation initiatives. The role will require strong project management skills and the development of strategic plans to drive the timely accomplishment of transformation initiatives. Each role will directly contribute to the success of one of the most visible board sponsored strategic programs within Woolworths Group and will support the development of a high performing internal consulting capability.
About You

Minimum experience with Tier 1 or boutique consulting firm: 2 years (Consultant / Manager) - 5 Years (Director).

Well developed consulting and problem solving toolkit .

Proven analytical and creative mindset.
-
Strong end to end project or program management skills .
-
Proven experience in managing the whole or parts of an end-to-end multi-million dollar transformation project/s across a large organisation and geography.

Strong track record in delivering quality outcomes, demonstrated ability managing internal and external stakeholders as well as the ability to structure and prioritise project demands.

Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to influence & gain credibility with senior stakeholders and project teams.

Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed; to structure and manage workloads and be a valued contributor to the team.

Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
