- $205,000 - $283,000 (dependent on roster and experience)
- All flights covered from all major cities to Perth and site or paid relocation for the whole family

The Drill Specialist is accountable to increase the all-round performance, reliability, and availability of the designated Drill product line. This is a hands-on role with emphasis on providing team lead as required to ensure technical assistance and best in class support for the customer site maintenance teams and WesTrac project work group.
The Drill Specialist is the link between the Customer, WesTrac and Caterpillar for all drill technical product information, documentation, and continuous improvement concepts within the Operations maintenance Drill support role. This role will pro-actively assist with Preventative Maintenance schedules, maintenance teams for planning work scopes, drill trouble shooting, technical reporting and product instruction/training strategies to improve Drill product knowledge to the wider work group.
You will be responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly reporting as agreed with the PSG Branch Manager, there is emphasis on providing team lead, hands on and technical assistance to be the best in class support to the customer site maintenance work teams, and the WesTrac project work group.
Location: FIFO from Perth
Roster Options (Inclusive of Super and based on experience):
8:6 (8 days on, 6 off – 12-hour shifts) - $235,000 - $242,000
2:1 (14 days on, 7 off – 12-hour shifts) - $274,000 - $283,000
2:2 (14 days on, 14 off – 12-hour shifts) - $205,000 - $212,000
To be successful the following is required:
- Mechanical trade qualification with a minimum of 5+ post years’ maintenance experience with Cat/Terex Drills
- OEM Dealership experience with Caterpillar, Terex Drills 2+ years
- High level of competence on mobile hydraulic & low voltage electrical systems used in Drills
- Demonstrated understanding of DRILL machine application on site, optimum operation knowledge
- Apply safe systems of work and implement risk control measures
- Highly developed communication and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously or with others & lead customer work groups onsite, instruct/teach & knowledge share
- Drill commissioning experience and advanced diagnostic skills
- Advanced ability to interpret repair & fault-finding OEM guides
Education/Certificates
- Mechanical or electrical trade qualification
- High Risk Work Licence - Working at Heights, EWP, Forklift/Telehandler
- Dogging /Riggers Certification
- Driver’s License – Australian valid – Class C, HR
