Digital Community Officer
We have a full-time, fixed-term opportunity available until Jan 2026 for an Officer – Digital Community. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, moderating, and engaging with customer and community interactions on social media platforms to drive positive branding and improve community water knowledge, which will help deliver on our Thrive 2035 objectives.
What the role will involve:
- Monitor and moderate community interactions on Water Corporation’s social platforms, online communities and online reviews.
- Use social media management software and related tools, e.g. Sprinklr, Hootsuite
- Pull through our brand tone of voice in all interactions.
- Filter and escalate customer and community enquiries as appropriate to ensure prompt and accurate resolution.
- Align to our governance standards ensuring our digital communities are a safe environment
- Provide timely and accurate interactions.
- Support a cross-collaborative communications effort in the event of an incident, with occasional out of hours work required.
- Engage with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) across the business to provide helpful and educational response to customers.
- Monitor emerging trends and current affairs to assist in content development aligned to our Social media strategy. .
- Contribute to monthly reporting profiling social media metrics and performance.
Key skills and experience:
There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV;
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent relevant experience using various social media platforms (including Facebook Business Manager, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) and management systems (e.g. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Agora Pulse or similar) and a range of web applications
- Extensive experience in social media or day to day digital community management (monitoring, responding, and engaging), along with demonstrated experience in using and understanding of various social media platforms, management systems and a range of web applications.
- Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail, with an ability to apply corporate brand tone of voice to interactions
- Experience collaborating with subject matter experts to develop timely responses
- Analytical skills with the ability to identify engagement patterns/trends and convey this clearly and effectively via verbal and written formats.
