About the role
The Business Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Head of Infrastructure Operations by providing top-tier business analysis services within the infrastructure division. This position is not just about data; it's about painting the big picture and ensuring that every piece of analysis translates into value.

- Exceptional ability in gathering and interpreting information, with a proven track record of developing compelling business cases that drive organisational change.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting techniques, with the ability to integrate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong facilitating abilities, skilled in leading sessions that promote collaboration, utilising a variety of facilitation tools and technologies to maximise participant engagement.
- An analytical mindset, with a keen ability to critically evaluate data, discern patterns, and derive insights that inform strategic decision-making.
- A critical thinker and a problem solver, employing a range of creative approaches to tackle complex challenges and deliver solutions.
- Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, information technology or a relevant discipline
- Advanced Microsoft Office suite of applications - Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, PowerBI, SharePoint, PowerApps
- An understanding of business analysis concepts & techniques outlined in Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).
- Experience in an Asset Management, Asset Information Systems position, or industry.

The salary range for this role starts at $120,000 inclusive of superannuation. We are open to discussing salary expectations in accordance with the necessary skills, experience, and overall fit for the role.
