In this position you will be responsible for teaching and assessment of undergraduate medical students, while contributing to continuing review and development of the Joint Medical Program (JMP) medicine curriculum. In addition, undertaking administrative duties appropriate to the level of appointment.

The position is based within either the School of Medicine and Public Health, located at John Hunter Hospital or at the Central Coast Clinical School, located at the Gosford Hospital. There are strong links with academic educators and clinical colleagues at other JMP teaching campuses including the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health and the University of New England. There are also numerous opportunities for collaboration with Research Centres and Research Programs run through the University, the Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) and the Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute (CCCSRI).

How you will inspire us

You will:

  • hold Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or on a pathway to same;
  • be experienced in providing education with a record of successful delivery.
