About the role:
We are recruiting for Water Industry Workers (WIW’s) to join the Unitywater team in the Sunshine Coast and Moreton Bay regions. As a WIW, your work will be outdoors, maintaining Unitywater’s network of water and sewerage assets. These positions will undertake works in planned and reactive civil maintenance; operation; and minor replacement, renewals and extension services on the water supply and sewerage network. WIW1
Experience in civil works will be highly regarded, particularly in water supply or sewerage systems, and a Certificate II or III in Water Operations or have the ability and commitment to obtain these.

WIW2
The WIW2 will have at least 1 year experience in civil works including water supply or sewerage systems, coupled with a Certificate II in Water Operations.

WIW3
The WIW3 will have 4 years on the job experience in civil works including water supply or sewerage systems. Additionally, may be the first person on site, therefore leadership qualities and strong decision-making skills will be key. Certificate II and III in Water Operations is also required.

WIW4
The WIW4 will have 5 years experience, Certificate II and III Water Operations, and be working towards or hold Certificate IV in Water Operations. Additionally, will be capable to be the first person on site, therefore leadership qualities and strong decision-making skills will be key.

WIW5
The WIW5 role is a leadership role that requires a range of experience and qualifications including Certificate II, III and IV in Water Operations and Cert IV in Leadership and Management. The WIW5 leads multiple crews and is also a hands-on role and is capable of being the first person on the job.

These positions will require you to have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the team and with our customers, coupled with a Safety-first approach. You will be comfortable working with computers and mobile devices and be able to participate in after-hours rosters. You will have a current C class driver’s licence and have the ability to obtain a MR licence within 3 months (mandatory requirement for WIW roles) and hold a General Construction Induction Card (White Card) or the ability to obtain.
