About us

View website

Unitywater operates in one of Australia’s most exceptional environments in terms of natural beauty, geographical and demographic breadth. Proudly providing safe and reliable water to customers in Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast and Noosa, we are a water utility serving one of the fastest growing regions in the country.

Our One Unitywater behaviours - Create the Future, Care Together, and Own It – define how we work together at Unitywater. We recognise that people are the essence of the water sector, and each team member provides the leadership, vision and skills that drives and delivers actions for our customers and communities.

Unitywater is committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace, where all employees feel they are connected and belong; are respected for who they are; feel safe to be themselves; can contribute their perspectives and talents; are supported to be the very best version of themselves and can progress in their careers.

  • Women in Leadership: Women represent a high number of leadership at 49%. We are focused on fostering an environment where women are supported to pursue rewarding careers along with personal and professional commitments. An example of this is our inaugural 'BOOST' program which is focused on supporting women, their leaders and sponsors with the tools, strategies and networks to achieve their career ambitions and challenge biases and beliefs which impact success.

  • Parental Leave: We offer 20 weeks full pay for the primary carer,4 weeks for the secondary carer, continuation of superannuation payments for the full period of leave (up to 52 weeks) and a $5000 return-to-work payment to support the transition back to work. This program is offered to all families including birth, adopted, same sex and single parents. It is also available to support families who have experienced a loss of a child following 26 weeks gestation or shortly after birth.

  • Flexibility: We value flexibility and support work-life balance with hybrid and flexible working, purchase annual leave and access to floating public holidays.

  • Wellbeing: We offer several initiatives to support your wellbeing, such as: discounted private health insurance, salary packaging, employee assistance program, and access to discounts and benefits from a range of retailers.

  • Learning and Development: We understand the importance of learning and offer a range of opportunities to feed your curiosity such as: Walk on Country with Traditional Custodians, study assistance, and access to a dedicated learning program and professional memberships.

  • Extras: We understand the importance of connection and support you to care together by offering access to employee network groups focused on First Nations Reconciliation, LGBTIQ+, CALD, Gender, Life stage diversity, and accessibility.

"At Unitywater, we strive to have a balanced workforce, by achieving the same diversity as we see in the remarkable communities we serve. Bringing together people from a wide range of backgrounds – while promoting an environment that allows them to apply their diverse thought, skills and experiences – helps us achieve our purpose; to be here for healthy and thriving communities. At the heart of our approach is a culture that enables growth, learning and development, and one where everyone feels they can bring their whole selves to work. And, by empowering our people to be the best version of themselves, we are creating a workplace destination of choice that supports our diverse communities."
