About the role

As a key member of the team, you will partner with the Finance Lead providing necessary financial support that assist in the delivery of accurate monthly reporting and maximise contract outcomes.

Key focus tasks of the role are\:

  • Preparing monthly claims and invoicing
  • Review and advise on forecast and actual financial reports.
  • Maintain WIP levels
  • Assist with end of month processes and financial reporting within required deadlines and to required levels of accuracy for the contracts.
  • Project Summary Review.
  • Ensure all cost reporting is developed for submission to the client in a timely manner.
  • Have a clear understanding of all pay rates, relevant Awards, EBA’s and contracts relevant to the project.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders including Project teams, customers, suppliers,
  • Setup new projects in SAP
  • Assist the Business Managers to analyse financial and project information, identifying opportunities/risks and recommending improvements.
  • Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, margin results and the Contract/Project actual performance compared to the budget/forecast plans controlling income, cash flow and expenditure
  • Maintain the data integrity of the contract financial data in SAP.
  • Assist with the preparation of the contract management reports including; budget and forecasts, utilisation reporting, cash flow forecast, and any other ad-hoc analysis as requested

About You

You will be a project accountant with eexperience working with Projects & Operations & Maintenance contracts. Have a demonstrated capacity and initiative to solve problems with energy and a positive attitude. Ideally you will have\:

  • Degree in commerce or accounting and min 3 years’ experience in broad financial roles; more experienced candidates are also encouraged to apply
  • CPA/CA qualified is desirable
  • Experience with large ERP systems (eg SAP) and strong excel skills
  • Experience working with Projects & Operations & Maintenance contracts – contract margin improvements, labour rates, capital expenditure, cost control, project controls, risk management
  • Proven exposure with general business management and understanding of business drivers
