Investor Relations Manager
Transurban is a top 20 ASX listed company, and one of the world's largest toll-road operators. We deliver and operate major infrastructure projects across our road networks in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, as well as in Greater Washington, United States and Montreal, Canada.
The Investor Relations function plays a critical role in ensuring that the company's strategy and investment proposition is clearly and accurately presented to key external financial stakeholders, via effective corporate access and communications.
Joining our lean, high-performing team, the successful candidate will provide strategic advice based on considered analysis to play a meaningful role in the Investor Relations function. You'll act as a primary representative of the business and manage relationships and communication with institutional and retail shareholders, broking analysts and sell-side sales teams, ensuring our investment thesis and growth agenda is effectively represented in the market.
The role includes regular collaboration with Transurban's Executive Committee, teams from across the business, your corporate affairs colleagues, as well as external stakeholders (including buy and sell-side institutions).
The impact you'll have
- You'll assist in the preparation and delivery of ASX releases, financial results presentations, investor communications, corporate reports, events, and other IR related collateral
- You'll be a primary point of contact for responding to investor / analyst queries and represent Transurban, managing relationships and communication with institutional and retail shareholders, broking analysts and sell-side sales teams
- You'll provide strategic advice to the Head of IR and Executive Committee, and prepare board and management papers as required
- You'll manage broker consensus and monitor market sentiment, preparing analysis and delivering insights and recommendations to the Head of IR and Executive Committee
- You'll work with the Head of IR to plan and deliver a strategic Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance program for investors and analysts
- You'll provide the business with ongoing feedback from the investment community and adopt a best practice / continuous improvement approach to IR, bringing recommendations to the team about what we can do better
The talents you'll bring
- Three-five years' professional experience within an Investor Relations function, preferably with an ASX listed business
- Strong financial acumen coupled with the ability to clearly articulate information to the buy and sell-side
- The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with Executive Committees, investors, and a wide range of senior stakeholders both internal and external to the business
- Finely tuned analytical, writing, and presentation skills
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field preferable (Commerce, Accounting, Business etc.). AIRA Diploma of Investor Relations and Post Graduate Qualifications
