Registered Land Surveyor
Transport for NSW is the lead agency of the NSW Transport cluster. Our role is to lead the development of a safe, efficient, integrated transport system that keeps people and goods moving, connects communities and shapes the future of our cities, centres and regions.
We are responsible for strategy, planning, policy, regulation, funding allocation and other non-service delivery functions for all modes of transport in NSW including road, rail, ferry, light rail, point to point, regional air, cycling and walking.
We focus on improving the customer experience and contract public and private operators to deliver customer-focused transport services on our behalf.
We also lead the procurement of transport infrastructure and oversee delivery through project delivery offices and industry delivery partners.

The Infrastructure and Place division is in the process of delivering an ambitious and once-in-a generation $28 billion program of public infrastructure works which will ease congestion, improve safety, create new places and connect communities for generations to come.
The opportunity
There is an opportunity available within the Western Region for a Registered Land Surveyor to join our Surveying Team on a 4 year fixed term contract. Reporting to the Survey Manager, the location of this role is flexible with office locations including Parkes, Bowenfels, Orange, Dubbo and Narrabri. You will be responsible for:
- Providing support to the Senior Surveyor development and deployment of survey capability
- Displaying required expertise to manage current and future technical risk in road and maritime infrastructure projects
- Leading a ‘Survey Party’ responsible for the delivery of surveying services in order to meet TfNSW objectives.

About You
This role would suit someone who is a Registered Land Surveyor within NSW with extensive experience in the delivery of cadastral surveys, providing surveying technical advice and management of technical risk in infrastructure projects. You will be someone who takes an innovative approach to problem solving with the ability to apply modern technology and software related to surveying practices and procedures. The successful applicant will be someone who can work both autonomously and as part of a larger team and from time to time in remote locations.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Grade 8 ($102,098 - $109,561) to Grade 9 ($114,601 - $123,199), dependant on level of experience, per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
