The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
The Personnel Security Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining personnel security policies, procedures, and protocols to safeguard the organisation's personnel, assets, and sensitive information. This role involves assessing security risks, conducting background investigations, and managing access control measures to prevent unauthorised access or breaches.
The Chief Security Officer is accountable for the cyber, physical, supply chain and personnel security for Transgrid.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience
- Industry certifications such as Certified Supply Chain Security Specialist (CSCSS), Supply Chain Security Management (SCSM) Certification and similar
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a minimum Negative Vetting One (NV1) security clearance
- Good understanding of the role and requirements of planning and regulatory agencies
- Experience and ability to contribute to the marketing, business development and strategic decision making of the department
- Collaborative and decisive behaviour style
- Developed negotiation and presentations skills
- Ability to affect change through technical leadership
- Proven problem, incident and resolution skills, including leading resolution
- Able to work outside of regular business hours, including participating in an on-call roster
- Competent in the application of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements relative to the duties of the position
