Early Careers Manager

We’re transforming our Talent Acquisition function and we are seeking an experienced Early Careers Manager to join our team. The position has responsibility for re-defining our Early Careers strategy (Interns/Graduate/Apprentices/Trainees) and developing a structured pipeline of talent into Thales Australia. This would include strengthening relationships with target universities for critical job roles, developing new relationships with partner organisations to supply talent and analysing the performance of talent pipelines to continue to evolve our sourcing and attraction strategies. This role will be responsible for partnering closely with Talent and Learning team, Diversity & Inclusion leadership council and various stakeholders across our business. This is a highly impactful builder role where collaboration, teamwork, and innovation will be key to success. You will work and influence internal and external stakeholders, manage cross functional programs, and be able to help prioritise amidst ambitious goals and timelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage, lead, recruit and develop Early Career Programs across multiple locations
- Partner with the Organisation Capability & Learning Team on the planning and delivery of Early career development programs
- Act as a POC for managers handling all enquiries on Early Career matters and resolving complex issues
- Accountable for bringing external insights and market knowledge to internal stakeholders
- Accountable for TA processes and procedures followed ensuring consistency
- Shape and drive the D&I strategy and ensure diversity is considered appropriately in all hiring
- Set and deliver on KPIs and ensure working patterns are in line with functional objectives and success measures, monitor and enhance team performance utilising data and insight
- Review and implement appropriate assessment and selection tools for recruitment
- Drive continuous improvement in the quality, speed and cost of hiring as part of wider metrics

- Experience with Workday would be an advantage
- Developed strategies to achieve goals and operationalised ideas
- Knowledge of Engineering and technology is highly desirable
- Demonstrated Project and change management experience
- Experience with talent management and working with/developing early-in-career professionals
- Strong drive to meet and exceed goals
- Must be energetic and have the ability to maintain a sense of humour when faced with changes and challenges
- Team player mentality with a willingness to jump in and help where needed
- The ability to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and embrace changes as they arise
