As a member of our Global Ops team, you will be based in Camberwell, Melbourne. You will work closely with R&D and Operations teams and lead the DevOps components architecture, design, and support.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will report to the DevOps Manager based in the US and work with a distributed team of DevOps Engineers. You will serve as a thought leader and SME for DevOps industry trends, new and existing technology offerings, and architectural concepts. Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the quality of DevOps architecture and design
• Analyze, execute and streamline the existing DevOps practices, creating an automated, efficient delivery pipeline that helps build software rapidly and effectively
• Ensure all facets of infrastructure, security, automation, and performance are considered for each project
• Contribute to our culture of Continuous Improvement by helping to improve our team processes and technical practices
• Mentor team members on DevOps best practices

ABOUT YOU

The skills we see as critical to succeed in this position:

• 8+ years of experience in a DevOps role managing Linux based infrastructure
• Background in software development and scripting languages with a solid foundation in system architecture. Familiarity with C#, Java, Bash or Powershell
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Broad understanding of networking technologies
• Hands-on experience with build, test and release infrastructure and infrastructure automation (Jenkins, TFS, Octopus Deploy, Terraform or similar)
• Ability to perform weekend deployments on rotation, once or twice a month
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to present your ideas and to develop positive relationships with key stakeholders
• Effective team player with the ability to work with a diverse array of people
• Experience guiding a technical team and providing coaching/mentoring

What would be highly desirable but not required:

• AWS Certification - AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
