The Role
Are you passionate about inclusion, equity, and creating meaningful change in the workplace and community? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and motivated Project Officer to join us on an exciting journey—bringing our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB) Plan to life!
This is a brand-new part-time opportunity (0.5 FTE, fixed-term contract until November 2026) with loads of potential to shape how we work, connect, and grow together. What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating project activities and milestones, helping to deliver outcomes aligned with the DEIB Plan
- Supporting key project documentation like project trackers, reporting, and governance paperwork—making sure nothing falls through the cracks
- Identifying and helping to manage project risks and issues, keeping things moving smoothly and safely
- Gathering and reporting insights to support continuous improvement and informed decision-making
- Assisting with internal communications and engagement efforts that bring DEIB initiatives to life across the organisation
- Collaborating with stakeholders, teams, and community voices to make sure everyone is heard and included.

What we're looking for
We are looking for a motivated and organised Project Officer to help drive our DEIB initiatives forward. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging and the skills to support our projects effectively.
- An understanding of diversity and inclusion concepts and initiatives, as they relate to complex organisations
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and stay organised
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- A valid C-class driver’s license.

The Details
This exciting Project Officer role is based in our head office in Moonah, Hobart, and offers a competitive salary of $85,051.33 - $89,776.41(pro-rata at 0.5FTE and inclusive of superannuation), negotiable depending on experience.
